THE LAUNCH OF OUR YOU MATTER COLLECTION
When I started my apparel line, I knew I wanted it to be more than just funny slogans and cute designs. Humor is part of it, sure—but I also wanted to offer support, inspiration, and something deeper. In this industry, a lot of the bigger brands stick to simple, generic designs. Occasionally they’ll back a cause, but most of the time, it’s about what sells best. From a business standpoint, I get it. But that’s not what Fitness Flair is about.
I want to create products that are not only good quality and affordable—but that carry meaning. I want to build a community where women from all walks of life feel welcomed, included, and supported. I know I can’t do it all, but I can do something. I want to reach people who feel alone, who are struggling with illness, mental health, or just trying to get through a hard season. Health isn’t just physical—it’s emotional, mental, spiritual. And in this industry, that full spectrum doesn’t get nearly enough attention.
Yes, appearance can reflect what’s going on inside—but the real story is deeper. It’s about what we’re carrying, what we’re healing from, and how we’re growing. Our mental and emotional health shape everything—how we show up, how we fight through, how we rebuild. I say this not just from what I’ve learned over the past seven years of study, but from lived experience.
The “You Matter Collection” is rooted in my own story. I’ve attempted suicide twice. I’ve shared a little about this in a Facebook video, but the full story is dark, and some parts are best saved for more personal conversations. What I can say is this: who we surround ourselves with matters. It shapes how we see ourselves—whether we grow or stay stuck. Changing your life isn’t easy. I’ll never sugarcoat that. It’s not overnight. But with time, persistence, and a whole lot of self-work, you can build the life you deserve.
I’ve had to walk away from friendships, family, jobs, relationships. I’ve had to rebuild myself from the inside out—learning self-awareness, setting boundaries, and choosing healing every single day.
During those dark times, I felt more alone than ever. Alone in my thoughts. Ignored when I reached out. Brushed off. I truly believed I was born just to be a human punching bag—and not always in the physical sense. But when my second attempt failed, something shifted. I knew I was meant for more. That everything I’d endured had a purpose. And it was up to me to keep going and find it.
Years later, here I am. Building this business with the hope that it can make a difference. That this collection might speak to someone who feels invisible. That it might remind them: you belong here. Even if you can’t see the reason yet, it’s there. Feel it. Believe it. And start looking for the people who will help you see it in yourself.
This is the first cause that pushed me to open up publicly in such a personal way. And as my business grows, I’m looking forward to sharing more. Launching more collections. Creating more ripples. Even if they’re small, they matter.
To my customers—thank you. Thank you for supporting this business. Thank you to everyone who purchased from this collection. You may not always see the impact you make, but it’s real. Sometimes, all it takes is one person reading a message on a shirt—someone who was contemplating ending it all—and deciding to hold on. You never know whose life you might save, simply by wearing something that says, “You Matter.”
If you’ve lost someone to suicide, my heart is with you.
If you’re struggling right now, please know: you are not alone. You are seen. You are needed.
